About Desh Ji
There is nothing called as impossible in this world. What is required is the right spirit and attitude to achieve it. Life is a role and we are merely actors. Everyone plays their character and departs. We must have seen him playing the rolein "Khoon Pasina" or alongside Shabana Azmi in the movie "Jeena Yahan" by Basu Chatterjee.
The cycle of life brought him to be one of the successful child artists of the Bombay film industry in 1973. His never say no attitude towards whatever work you get, got him many movies and work with the then leading actors of the industry. His journey started with "Badla" as his first movie in 1973 where he played the child role of Shatrughan Sinha."Sharad Sandhya" by very best awarded director MT. Vasudevan Nair where he played the role of "Buddhu was inspired from a bestseller novel "The Mist".. This movie also came out in Malayalam by the name of "Manju". On being asked as to how you got a movie. He explains, " I never missed out on any opportunity or any person. If I was given a chance, I devoted myself towards my work no matter how big or small it was. There was a time I continually knocked the doors of the director Basu Chatterjee for six years but I did not give up. It reaped results."
From being an active youth in front of the camera to being an active businessman behind the counter- the journey was never easy. Destiny brought him to Delhi and the struggles of life drew him to the world of precious and semi-precious stones. From the reel to the real life, today he sensitises both the young and old about the power these stones possess. As unusual as the name is, his world of stones resonates a feeling of uniqueness.
His very first stall in the exhibition by D.S.I.D.C. (Delhi State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd.) gave his life a new turn to become the gem of the gemstones. We later saw him with the same passion and commitment in Orissa emporium, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Connaught place, Delhi for about 20 years. Govt. of Orissa appreciated the level of interest he and his team possessed. The stones came out to be much favoured by the people.
Today we can see him and his team running successful showrooms in the first floor, sab mall, Noida.Turtles, ganeshas, balls, pyramids you name them and they make it happen. Stone jewellery along with the unique patters sets the ambience apart. Desh ji describes about the healing science and how he is an ardent believer of it. He says," To feel it, you have to believe it." The stones from this mother nature do work, all we need is a faith towards it.
All through these struggles and journey , he has been supported by his friends and family. His wife Ms. Bhavana Maheshwari has been his backbone throughout and looked after the financial strength of the organization. From preparing the necklaces themselves during their struggle period to displaying a very huge variety of jewellery today, they never stopped supporting each other. Ms. Anu continues to work meticulously since 17 years. Her friendliness and soothing aura has won the hearts of her customers. At the same time, she has been very helpful for any problems, if encountered, by her customers. Mr. Karan Maheshwari, his son, has been equally passionate about this business. After completing his masters, he specialised in gemology and gives a genuine and a proper information of the varied stones to his customers. Ms. Kritika Maheshwari, has recently joined. She seems to be a very efficient diamond grader and soon an aspiring gemologist. All that you will see is a very positive attitude in all of them.
